Services
The Midtown Community Benefits District provides services to more than 4,000 properties across the 144 blocks of Bolton Hill, Charles North, Madison Park, and Mount Vernon. Continuously evaluating the needs of each community, we strive to ensure our team responds to requests in a productive and timely manner. Our agile team strives to meet a wide range of needs, working closely with constituents to monitor areas of concern and plan accordingly when locations require more significant service.
Our team of dedicated service professionals provides four core services:
CLEAN
Removes litter from streets, sidewalks, gutter lines, tree pits, bus stops, storm drains, and parks using mechanized equipment and broom & dustpans for detailed work
Empties of 191 trash cans, 7 days per week
Provides bulk trash removal
Removes graffiti and stickers using chemicals and power washer from from street signs, light poles, trash cans, and bus stops
Inspects and cleans alleyways on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Hand wipes vertical surfaces i.e., trash receptacles, benches, lamp posts doggie stations

HOURS OF SERVICE
6:00AM – 7:00PM

GREEN
Maintains 20+ acres of public greenspaces, including 25 parks
Provides tree and tree pit stewardship, including mulching, pruning, and watering
Supports community tree and park stewardship through various channels
Assists community associations (and/or groups) with tree plantings and pruning events
Promotes tree and park stewardship by sharing best practices with a goal towards increasing community involvement
Promotes certification opportunities through public and private partners
Provides seasonal leaf management service
Offers sustainable green waste removal collection
Provides weeding along gutter lines and curbs. Owners are responsible for sidewalks and tree wells per city code.
SEASONAL FOCUS:
Spring: mulch delivery, weeding, park planting beds, tree planting and watering, trash removal
Summer: edging, weeding, watering, trash removal
Fall: edging, weeding, tree planting and watering, trash removal
Winter: tree and shrub pruning, trash removal, tree canopy audit

SAFE
Uniformed Midtown Safety Officer will be present throughout their shift to deter unwanted activity, providing a safe presence to communities
Engages with businesses by patrolling designated zones providing business checks
Targets deployment in response to district crime trends
Reports instances of unsafe activity, homelessness, and unwanted activities, i.e.: drug activity
Midtown CBD Safety Committee inclusive of public and private partners
Coordinates homeless outreach services with public and private partners

ADVOCACY
Hosts committees to support community-based projects and initiatives
Serves as Midtown District representative on advisory groups for large capital projects
Works collaboratively with Baltimore area management authorities and other public and private partners to expand Midtown’s impact on the District and Baltimore City
Works on behalf of our communities to ensure city partners are providing adequate service and information to our constituents
Advocates for effective public safety initiatives with the Baltimore Police Department
Effectively and continuously educates residents on proper trash and recycling disposal
